The bulk of the information in this site has been compiled by Paul H. Freytag in the last 30 years with additions by Marco Gaiani, specially for taxa described in the last 10 years. The original idea of putting this into a web accesible database was of Marco Gaiani, and the first version of the Neotropical Cicadellidae went on line in 2001.
